Good spinal hygiene is essential to health, so chiropractic will remain an excellent choice for individuals looking to support and strengthen any and all of their body’s function and purpose, however it is rarely an emergency.  It might be an emergency years or decades from now, but not today.

While chiropractic will continue to make a unique and valuable contribution to the health and wellness of Ontarians, at this time the dominant cultural focus is on minimizing the spread and burden of COVID-19 in our communities and on our economic and health care systems.

For now, according to the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO) , we can be available to provide:

  • Care for patients experiencing a sudden* and debilitating* change in functional abilities (understood as walking standing, sitting, lifting floor-to-waist or waist to shoulder, stair climbing, ladder climbing) or significant* restrictions (experienced during bending/twisting, repetitive movement, pushing/pulling with right/left arm) as well as injury* to head/neck/back and extremities.
  • Treatment aimed at alleviating significant pain*, understood as pain that is incapacitating for the patient and interferes with their ability to carry out normal functioning.

*Please note the severity and nature of the conditions set out above (sudden, debilitating, significant, incapacitating pain, restriction and injury).

That’s right guys, wellness and healing are ‘closed for now’.  Still, there are lots of things you can to find yourself no matter where you are.  Check out Donny Epstein’s 12 Stages in 12 Days.

If you are experiencing any of the above emergencies, you are welcome to contact us as we wish to be available to serve you if you are in need of help.
